Constructing an equivalent circuit for the photovoltaic (PV) generating unit converging real operation is a difficult process because of unavailability some parameters. Many approaches have been conducted in this field; however, they problems computational time and are stuck local optima. Therefore, study proposes simple, robust, efficient methodology-incorporated capuchin search algorithm (CapSA) to construct PV via identifying its The CapSA selected as it simple requires less addition exploration/exploitation balance that avoids formulated optimization problem, which aims at minimizing root mean square error (RMSE) between measured simulated currents. A single-diode model (SDM), double-diode (DDM), three-diode (TDM) different cells panels operating either constant or variable weather conditions constructed. comparison programmed metaheuristic conducted. best RMSE values obtained by proposed 2.27804E-04, 1.3808E-04, 1.5182E-04 SDM, DDM, TDM PVW 752 cell, respectively. For KC200GT panel, approach achieved fitness 3.4440E-04, 1.5617E-03, 6.6008E-03 25°C, 50°C, 75°C, results confirmed superiority competence constructing reliable cell/panel.
